    • Will I get a bill for using OneSimCard service?

      No. DataMax, DataMax eSIM, OneSimCard Universal, Expedition and eSIM World service is a prepaid service. You will not be able to spend more than you put on the SIM, except when you set the automatic recharge of the SIM. There are three simple ways to add funds to the balance of the SIM: from on-line, from the mobile phone and by setting up an automatic recharge. This pertains to both - purchased SIM cards.

      For funding the 1SIM VoIP App, there are three simple ways to add funds to the balance of the account: from on-line, from the mobile phone and by setting up an automatic recharge.

72. Ordering Questions
    • When does a Personal Extra Number (PEN) subscription start?

      New SIM card orders with PENs

      Your monthly, quarterly, bi-annual or annual subscription to a Personal Extra Number starts the moment your order has been shipped. If you do not need your Extra Number to be active right away, you can always wait and order an Extra Number later at any time by logging into your account.

      eSIM orders on onesimcard.com do not require shipping.

      PENs added to existing SIM cards

      These PEN subscriptions are activated right after the order has been processed. The activation is virtuallyinstant, unless your PEN order requires additional documents for verification. Please see the local number information page for the list of any additional document requirements by country.

      Free Trial PENs

      Many SIM cards come with Free Trial PENs that are inactive by default. You can activate Free trial PENs at any time from your account.

      BANK SMS Verification PEN

      The SMS Verification PEN is the only PEN that can be used without a SIM card. These PENs are activated instantly if ordered on their own or added to an existing active SIM card.

       

73. OneSim VoIP
    • I have more than one Personal Extra Number (PEN). Can I use different PENs for OneSim VoIP?

      If you have more than one OneSim VoIP enabled PEN you can switch between these PENs for the purpose of the OneSim VoIP account. This option is available in the My SIM Cards menu in your online account.
74. Ordering Questions
    • Can I use OneSimCard service if my phone is locked?

      Yes. There are a few options available if your phone is locked to the carrier that sold you the phone.

      • Try contacting the carrier to see if they unlock it for you.
      • You can purchase a travel phone bundle with the SIM at

      You can purchase a MI-FI device with aOneSimCard SIM card (Universal, Expedition or DataMax physical SIM card) at http://www.onesimcard.com/international-cell-phones/. The Mi-Fi device will provide your locked Android or iPhone with mobile data over Wi-Fi connection that you can use on your phone for Voice and Texts using SIM VOIP app, as well as data for web browsing, email, GPS navigation, etc.
75. How To Use Questions
    • How do I know if USA, Canada or UK Mobile PEN I order is capable of receiving SMS?

      To see if your PEN is capable of receiving SMS, please log in to your on-line account at www.OneSimCard.com. In the Recharge Menu next to the PEN you will see if it is SMS capable or not. You can also see there if this PEN could be used for VOIP or not.

    • How Do I Check The Balance Of Purchased Data Plan?

      There are three ways to check the remaining balance of purchased data plan.

      1. On-line in the Discount Section of the My SIM Cards menu of your web account or in the mini account at https://ma.onesimcard.com/ 

      2. For eSIMs from the OneSim eSIM app

      3. From OneSimCard mobile phone (for Universal, Expedition and eSIM World SIM cards only): 

           Dial the following: *146*942#

       

      The remaining data balance will be displayed.

    • How much does it cost someone in the US or Canada to call to my OneSimCard cell phone?

      For Universal, Expedition, and eSIM World SIM cards, many U.S. and Canadian carriers can charge more than $3/minute to connect to an Estonian mobile number, the primary mobile number for a OneSimCard global SIM card. Your SIM card includes a U.S. number which will be much less expensive for people to call.

      Callers can also use one of the Common Access Numbers (CAN) that we provide to you free of charge in more than 10 countries. Your OneSimCard account will simply be charged an additional 20c/min to the incoming rate in the country you are in to receive those calls. There is also the option of ordering a dedicated Personal Extra Number (PEN) in Canada and many other countries that will forward all calls directly to your OneSimCard cell phone.       You can order a Personal Extra Number when placing your order or later at any time by logging in to your account. Visit our Rates & Coverage page and choose any country to view all rates.

      If you would prefer for the caller to pay for calls made, we recommend they buy Peanuts Prepaid. Using this service would guarantee a connection to your OneSimCard mobile phone from the U.S and Canada for 20c/min and it is very easy to use without switching your LD carrier.

      For DataMax and DataMax eSIM, if you chose to use SIM VOIP app, your friends and family will call the PEN number you are assigned, so in most cases, there will be no tariff for them to call you, and the cost to receive the call is only $0.01/Minute.

78. How To Use Questions
    • Can I check my Voice Mail from a phone other than my OneSimCard phone?

      Yes. You can access the Voice Mail from other phones.

      First you need to set up a voicemail password by either calling from your OneSimCard phone or logging in to your account and clicking on the Voicemail link.

      Once the password is set up, you can dial voice mail access number:

      Toll Free access number for customers in the U.S. or Canada to retrieve voicemail for free: 1-866-703-4770

      Local U.S. number for worldwide customers to retrieve voicemail: 1-213-805-2905

      New Online Voicemail Feature: You can now listen to voicemail for free by logging in to your account and clicking on the Voicemail link. There, you can also set voicemail to be emailed to you as an audio file and change passwords and other settings.

      IMPORTANT NOTE: Voicemail messages will be automatically purged from your inbox after one month, so please be sure to save the content of any important messages before they are deleted.
      This does not apply to DataMax SIM cards
79. eSIM
    • Can eSIM be used for Data, Calls and Texts?

      Yes, as of March 3rd, 2020, OneSimCard eSIM can be used for Mobile Data, Voice and Texts. However, you can still use the OneSim VOIP app option with a Personal Extra Number (PEN) for additional savings on calling and texting

       

      For DataMax eSIMs, only Data is available. However, you can use our OneSim VoIP app for cost effective voice and SMS communication.

80. eSIM
    • Can I install my OneSimCard eSIM more than once?

      You can re-install the eSIM on the same phone up to 10 times.  eSIM can be installed only on one device. Once installed, it's not possible move that eSIM to another device. If you need to install eSIM on another phone, please order a new eSIM. Balance and PEN(s) from the old eSIM can be moved to a new eSIM at your request.
